“My name is Vieng, and I am 33 years old. I was born in another village nearby, and moved to this village 20 years ago. My family decided to move here in order to be closer to our upland rice plantations, as rice cultivation is our primary livelihood. Growing up, I had a lovely childhood, without much responsibility. My only duty was to help my parents in the fields, and I had ample time to play and be a child.
