I have had a fever for the last four or five days and my son got sick as well. I took him to the community health centre for treatment where I paid 50,000 Kip for his medicine. It would have cost us 100, 000 Kip more if we had gone to the district hospital. Now, we have been working on planting rice and clearing weeds. When we have no money, we have to find extra work as labourers. Our labour wage is around 20,000 Kip per day. I spend 220,000 Kip to buy one sack of milled rice (50 Kilogram). One sack lasts us two to three weeks.
