“My daughter got married in the last three months and has gone to live at her husband’s house for the rice harvest, so I’m now living alone. My family cultivates other people’s rice fields, rental is free, and they keeps the products from what they can harvest; we own no land of our own. My daughter bought me some rice before she left, using the money that she and her husband earned as labourers on rice fields or clearing land.
