Our family has not been well in the past few months. I had to go with my son on his motorbike to the district hospital, as I was experiencing severe pain in my arm. I used my bronze card, which entitles me to free hospital care – and my doctor said I needed injections. However, I didn’t have them because of my traditional beliefs. We also withdrew some money in the bank to sacrifice an animal to stop the pain.
