“My main difficulty in the past 3 months has been my husband’s drinking problem. I would like to go to help my niece to harvest on her rice fields – which would earn us money – but my husband is drunk all day every day. My main source of income is usually producing and selling kabong (charcoal) – at 30,000 kip (3.75 USD) for every 10 pieces – but I didn’t make any income in the past 3 months. Thankfully, my niece provides us with rice because we have a good relationship and I sometimes help her on the rice fields. My cousin and my niece also sometimes help me to buy MSG and ingredients for cooking.
