“My name is Buavon, and I am 22 years old. I was born in here in this village. My parents cultivated rice on other peoples land as we had no land of our own. My mother passed away 10 years ago, and I never had the opportunity to go to school. Since I’m the eldest in my family, I had to care for my younger brother and sister after she died. I often skipped meals so that they could have enough to eat. Those were very difficult days.
