3.   Key Survey results

3.1 Overall Household Income and Expenditure

Table 1 shows the mean household income and expenditure disaggregated by district for the period under review (April 2015 to September 2016 inclusive). Comparison is made between the first six-month period (April – September 2015) and the later, two periods of six months. To be noted that the SPSL stipend of 115,000 LAK started to be provided in August or September 2015 (depending on location) and thus was already impacting the last two months of the first six-month period and all of the more recent months.

Initial plans were for the stipend to be provided for one calendar year but, with the extension of SPSL, the stipend will continue to be provided through to the end of the project in August 2017.
